Vacation Day 6

Today has been the least vacationy day so far (yes, vacationy is a word, I am certain of it.)  We made it back home last night with tons of laundy, and to a much overgrown garden and yard.  The morning was spent doing my last day of Couch to 5K for Week 3 (yippee!), pulling weeds from the garden (specifically the watermelon and cantaloupes-see the horrible picture below), and finishing up other yardwork.  We planned this all for the morning to avoid the heat later today (110 degrees is the expected high today).  Afterwards, we went to IHOP for brunch as a family-something we rarely, if ever, do.

The afternoon was spent indoors doing laundry and cleaning our house (which has been neglected quite a bit during these busy months).  Not a very exciting vacation thing to do, but much needed, and we will be able to enjoy coming home to the neatness now!  We are getting ready to head out to church for Youth service shortly, which will be a great end to the busy day!
