National Fine Arts: Tuesday Morning

Today was the big day-the reason we took the trip to Louisville-Fine Arts performances!  First up was my oldest son in Piano Solo.  Here he is practicing before the actual performance.  I wish I had actual pictures to post, but I recorded the recital, so no pictures.
As soon as he was done, we ran across the convention center to make it to the puppet presentation in time.  Here is everyone in the hallway waiting to get inside.  Again, no pictures of the actual performance since I recorded it.  They both did a great job!
After they performed, we put all the puppet stuff back in the truck, and went back inside to watch a few more performances.  Here we are getting ready for a Short Sermon.
And here is the short sermon...
Next it was lunch time, so we decided on the Hard Rock Cafe, just up the road from the convention center on 4th Street.

Inside, we saw Eddie Van Halen's Tabasco guitar.
This was a neat booth we walked past, but didn't get seated at.
We walked past these drums, too.
We were seated in the Willie Nelson section.
We spotted this dress from our table, and it said "Steve" wore it.
Our food arrived-the appetizer sampler...
...and nachos.  Yum!
Here we are after, by the big guitar.
Next we walked around downtown Louisville for a little while, and we spotted another horse (look really close, dead center).
There were lots of memorials...
...we even got to pose by this one...
We even went inside the Metro Center for a few pictures...
So pretty!
And then we stepped back outside to see another statue...
Taking a break...
...posing like the statue...
Poor guy!
